Today, we are pleased to announce that Skype for Business Mac is now publicly available for download. Download Skype for your computer, mobile, or tablet to stay in touch with family and friends from anywhere. Will they be able to join the meeting? When users join the meeting, they will join on whichever client (Lync or Skype for Business) is installed on their system. I am on Skype for Business on Mac, but will invite users that still have the Lync for Mac. The phone numbers will remain the same for Skype for Business on Mac.

The Skype for Business Mac client allows customers to convert to new software that has been built specifically for the Mac platform to deliver the best possible experience for users.

The new client will see Apple Mac users upgrade from the former Lync Mac client 2011 and experience Skype for Business in a similar way to that offered on the Windows client. In a long-awaited new release, the Skype for Business Mac client is now available for download in Australia.
